Biography

Gary grew up in Dayton, Ohio and was educated at Kent State University.
His grandfather and father were both engineers.

"When I was little, my weekends were always consumed at my fathers side, building or repairing something around our home. Over time, this became part of my natural instinct; to repair things and make them better than I found them. It was in my blood to create and build for my life’s work."

Silverston started his own construction company while at Kent State to help finance his college years.

"The experience of learning each trade by doing it myself has given me great insight into understanding the process and discipline it takes to get the job done and done correctly."

After Kent State, Silverston moved to Denver, Colorado and re-created his Kent State business with building foundations, then framing and ultimately, general contracting.  He moved to Los Angeles in early 1986 and has grown his business methodically, accepting only several projects yearly to maintain his client relationships and the attention-to-detail required.
